?THE greatest club competition in the world? gets under way at Langsford Park on Saturday as Tavistock entertain Bodmin on the quest for the FA Cup ? kicks off at 2.45pm. Up and down the country hundreds of teams will dream of glory. Of course few will go far as the third round proper when the big boys of the Premiership join in the draw but when they kick off this weekend Tavistock are essentially in the same competition as Manchester United and Chelsea ? last years? finalists. Club physio Dave Chanter, a spokesman for Tavistock FC, said: ?If you have not watched your local team recently, this is a great time to come along and see what you have been missing. This promises to be a great match between two of the best teams in local football and Tavistock welcomes your support. ?Bodmin are a good team but we really feel we have a chance to beat them and progress to the next round. ?While we cannot offer you the Chardonnay and prawn sandwiches of the Premier League hospitality suites, we can offer you grass roots football at its best with a whiff of nostalgia for the halcyon days of football when a cup of Bovril and a hot pasty was the chosen refreshment. ?An invitation is extended to everyone to come and support your local team and see what is on offer.?
