ROADFORD Lake was proud to host the U21's European Sailing challenge last week as part of the 17th annual Atlantic Watersports Games. Nearly a 100 sailing enthusiasts competed from across the Atlantic area; teams arrived from Wales, France, Spain and Portugal.
The annual event gathered together the best regional teams from across the Atlantic area. Athletes took part in a weeklong event competing in sailing, kayaking, surfing, rowing, kite surfing and Surf Life Saving.
The week long games gave the opportunity for everyone to try some of these exciting sports.
Organised by the International Committee of the Interceltic Watergames the Atlantic Watersports Games is a competition that continues to grow.
