Totnes and Dartington SC 4 Tavistock Ladies 1 AFTER the sting of last week?s defeat Tavistock played a much better game and took control from the start. Kirsty Jones controlled the left wing. Working with her midfield of Honey and Corrales the ladies were able to feed Kate Atkinson with plenty of through balls which in the 10th minute saw Atkinson score the opening goal. Spirits lifted and Tavistock settled into the game with, Laura Phillip working hard at left back with excellent tackles and good passes upfield. Tavistock played with more confidence and after a good run through Totnes defence Atkinson went for goal, to be beaten by the post. In the 35th minute Tavistock were caught out by a well executed overhead kick to see Totnes pull a goal back. With all the hard work starting to take its toll on Tavistock legs Totnes were able to score their second goal. In the second half Tavistock was still settling when Totnes scored an early goal. Tavistock lost form for a while which allowed Totnes to score their fourth in the 57th minutes. Tavistock picked up their shape again.and held the game to the final whistle ? a much better performance from the ladies this week. Players of the match: Laura Phillip and Gemma Laird.
