Tavistock Ladies 9
Marjons Seconds 0
THIS friendly game of hockey opened with Tavistock on the attack, Sue Cork and Laura Armstrong making excellent crosses into the D.
The first goal came from Kath Collar who picked up a rebound ball and slotted it easily past the keeper. Minutes after Armstrong drove the ball into the D and hit a determined strike at the keeper, who was unable to cover the wide angle which she had put on the hit.
Emma Bowden scored the third goal due to being goal hungry and watching the movement of the keeper.
The second half saw Tavistock swamp the opposition and although they tried to break through, Marjons had no free space anywhere. Boulle and Butler distributed the ball well on the left and Boulle hit an excellent strike to Armstrong who was able to score her second goal.
The fifth came from Collar who after hassling in the D put a goal past the keeper.
Sue Cork had a good game and scored two consecutive goals, taking the score to 7-0. With Tavistock never letting up Collar scored her hat-trick from a good ball in from Armstrong.
The final goal came from a short corner from Tavistock , allowing Boulle to have an open shot at goal.
Player of the match: Babs Horton.
