Bodmin ladies 1
Tavistock ladies 11
IT was another goal bonanza for Tavistock this week despite fielding only ten players.
Armstrong opened the scoring from a great solo run; receiving a pass just inside Bodmin's half, she powered through the home side's defence and her strong strike left the goalie with no chance.
The away side's defence at times had to work hard to defend their goal an unfortunate deflection off Boulle's stick gave the home side their only goal. From then on the home side were just not in the game. White had acres of space on the right midfield and had some driving runs and put in some great crosses. Colston playing forward created many chances and was unfortunate not to get on the score sheet. Olive on the left midfield worked hard and put through some great passes while McClumpha was also influential in the goals creation.
The goals were divided between Armstrong and Gaspar, seven and four respectively. Armstrong scored some great individual goals running rings around the defence while. Gaspar neatly slipped her goals past the keeper. The away side were awarded a penalty flick and McClumpha was unlucky not to convert it.
Later in the second half the home side had a few chances when they were awarded some penalty corners but none of them made their way past the defence of Evans, Mills-Hicks and Boulle and Viggars back in goal this week pulled off some good saves.
