TAVISTOCK Ladies Rugby team started their season well by beating Bideford away with a final score of 20-12.

Two newcomers, Laura and Tamsin, both played well and will be great assets to the Tavistock squad. Zoe Colton returned to form after an accident last year.

Tavistock Ladies' end of season meal at the Ordulph in June was well supported by players and sponsors.

Club chairman Bob Law presented trophies to: most promising newcomer Bo Colton; captain's player of the year Stacy Pollard; players' player Wiz Francis; coach's player Mandy Blackmore.
