FIREFIGHTERS from Hatherleigh were called to a kitchen fire at a property on Church Lane, Holsworthy on Friday (December 21). A crew from Hatherleigh and one from Holsworthy attended the scene just after 10.25am. The fire was located in a first floor flat involving the kitchen unit and cooker. Approximately 15% of the kitchen was severely damaged by fire and the remainder of kitchen was severely damaged by smoke. The crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a fire blanket on the fire.
