MAY I, through your paper, thank the two ladies who came to my assistance when my dog was injured on Whitchurch Down on Friday afternoon? (April 15)
Their taking the time and trouble to drive me and my wet and bleeding dog to my car saved valuable time and enabled us to get to the veterinary surgery, where he was treated immediately. My thanks also to their little collie who tolerated the intrusion into her space with such good grace.
May they be pleased to know that he has regained his bounce and is again racing around at top speed.

I WOULD like to thank the two ladies at the Duchy Art Centre, Princetown, who helped when I got stranded upstairs on my large mobility scooter, when the lift failed.
My special thanks must, however, go to the five young men who so readily agreed to carry my scooter down the stairs. Who says chivalry is dead? and 'Elf and Safety' for once didn't get a look in!
