A CHARITY comic football match will be held in memory of Okehampton resident, Laura Bennett, who passed away 12 months ago with cancer.
The men v women match will be in aid of Yarty Ward and intensive care unit at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital Wonford.
The men's team, Riksters Rebels, will be captained by Laura's son, Rikki, and the women's team, Laura's Liver Birds, will be captained by Laura's sister, Clare.
Players include relatives, friends and nursing staff from the R D & E Wonford.
The match ball has been donated by Exeter City Football Club.
There will also be a draw, pitch-side collection, bouncy castle and refreshments.
Laura's family expressed thanks to Heather Sandercock, who has continued to support Okehampton Football with all their needs, Okehampton Argyle Football Club for their help and to everyone who has sponsored the programme.
Everyone is welcome to come along and watch the match which will be held on Sunday, July 25 at 2pm in Simmons Park.
