Shebbear 10
THE KELLY forwards scored the opening try of the season with a rolling maul. With the team on a high and having the forward momentum they looked to play at a fast pace, putting pressure on Shebbear in both attack and defence.
With the pressure being exerted it was not long until Kelly scored their second try, again coming from the forwards and another push over try.
With the team scoring 23 points in both halves of the game, it clearly showed that the skill level and fitness training had paid off, with a number of tries scored out on the wing.

Churston Grammar 0
IN this first round match Harry Brown scored the first off his five tries in the first minutes of the game. From here on in Kelly took control of the game and shut down Churston at every given opportunity.
The game plan was cleverly structured by Harry MacManus at fly-half, with him pulling the strings and feeding the forwards to drive the ball forwards and also setting the backs running at pace at the correct time.
With all the players on the pitch playing well, everyone was keen to get their hands on the ball. This was shown in the amount of players that scored tries, including Pete Meachin, Jack Lindsey, Sam Lindsey, Ben Murphy, Harry MacManus, Ryan Nichol and Chris Swash.
