Pupils at Kelly Prep School have been taking part in an Olympic celebrations week.

Kelly has a history of producing Olympians, with London 2012 being no exception. Sixth former Ellen Keane has qualified to compete in the London 2012 Paralympic Games. She will be competing for Ireland in the Games at the end of August.

Old Kelleians Claire Cashmoore, Lauren Steadman and Louise Watkin will also be taking part in this year's Paralympics.

Kelly will also be represented by Old Kelleian Flora Duffy in the Olympic Games. She attended Kelly from 2004 to 2008, training in the swimming and triathlon programmes. While at Kelly and only 18, she finished eighth in the Commonwealth Games triathlon in Melbourne and in the same year won the silver medal in the Junior World Championships in Lausanne. This is Flora's second Olympics.?She also competed in Beijing in 2008. She will be representing Bermuda in the triathlon event at London 2012. In total, Kelly has produced 15 Olympians and five Paralympians.

Pupils at the prep school had their sports day, Olympic maths day, an Olympic debate, a Year 1 Olympics assembly, an Olympic rings school photo as well as a host of other events during the week.
