Kelly College 57 Edgehill College 0 KELLY College 2nd XV took control from the kick off. The forwards quickly asserted their dominance and began to recycle some good quality ball. This gave the backs time and space and soon Oliver Thomas and Jonathan Hare began to punch holes in Edgehill?s defence. The visitors continued to battle but the better-drilled and more experienced Kelly side had a commanding 30-point lead by half time. The second half followed a similar pattern and enabled scrum half, Richard Greenaway to run the game. Jonathan Hare took full advantage of his opportunities and ended up with an impressive three tries. West Buckland 7 Kelly College 34 SLOWLY the strength of Kelly?s forwards began to show. With the pack moving forward it was only a matter of time before the pace and strength of Oliver Thomas breached the West Buckland defence and a quickly taken penalty inside the 22 resulted in the first score. West Buckland rallied with a converted try. The second half saw a combination of good tactical kicking from Guy Jedwab and better rucking from the forwards set up good field position for two more tries from Oliver Thomas and a try for Oliver. The final few minutes saw the Kelly 2nd XV play their best rugby of the season. A great bullocking run by Lorne Bell followed by good support from Rob Thomas began a passage of play that saw the forwards retain possession through eight phases of play before captain Richard Greenaway went over for a much deserved final score.
