DESPITE this being the first pre-season friendly for Okehampton Ladies, they stamped their authority with an early goal from Kelly Cooper. She went on to score another, before Launceston picked their game up and drew level at 2-2.
Okehampton made sure the game did not get away from them and Kelly scored another to get her hat-trick just before half-time.
Okehampton held Launceston back in the second half and Cooper went on to get another two goals.
This was a positive match for the ladies who last season came joint second in their league, but missed promotion through goal difference.
Due to the expansion of the league,the ladies have advanced and will be playing in the Premier Division this season.
