FIVE friends from the Calstock area who raised money for charity 25 years ago by having outrageous mohican haircuts are about to do the same thing again.
Matt Sweeney, Chris Leg, Brendan Knott, Keith Hendry and Paul Wright may have a little less hair than in 1987 when they were 20, but they are recreating the event, this time for the Crohn's Disease Society.
Twenty five years ago they raised money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Matt said reminiscing one day, the friends decided to go for it again.
'My son was diagnosed with Crohn's at the beginning of this year so we are raising money for the Crohn's Society,' he said.
'Some of us are a bit follically challenged so it will be interesting to see what happens.
'We have all agreed to keep the haircut for a week.'
Matt's 16-year-old son George will also be taking part in the charity event.
The men would love to raise £500 from their efforts.
