THIS month saw 16 children from the Jujitsu Tavistock Club go all out in front of a grading panel headed by Umberto Bergonzini sensei, third degree black belt, Robert Curtis sensei, second degree black belt and Ian Lawson sensei, first degree black belt. The standard proved to be exceptionally high once again.
For Dylan Baker, Jacob Mabey, Jaxom Cann, Jotay Clark, Malachy Fitzgerald and Sam Mulroy it was the first time and although nervous they performed extremely well, passing and achieving the next level, 8th kyu which is represented by a yellow belt. Alex Hiscocks, Daniel Buncle, Isaac Buncle and Jay Jensen-Milverton were promoted to seventh Kyu orange belt. Connor Baker, Eric Moore, Jack Kerswill, Joseph Mulroy and Luca Bergonzini were promoted to fifth kyu green belt two tabs.
The grading panel was extremely pleased by the performance and character demonstrated by everyone, beginners as well as more experienced students. Well done to everyone.
The club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Scout Hall in Pixon Lane. Anyone interested in joining can contact Umberto on 07866 720361 or come to one of the classes. More information can also be obtained by visiting the website http://www.jujitsu.uk.com">www.jujitsu.uk.com
