Double Paralympic bronze medallist Claire Cashmore proved her current form at the Disability Sport England National Championships in Sheffield where she set a new world record in the 50m Freestyle in a time of 30.73. Claire, who is studying for her A levels at Kelly College, is a member of the British Disability World Class Performance Swimming Team. Claire also picked up 4 other golds in the 100m Freestyle the 100 and 200m Individual Medleys. Her coach Robin Brew said: ?This a great prelude to the Commonwealth Games Trials which will be held next week in Swansea, where Claire has to drop her long course (50m) time by 0.1second to qualify.? Other great performances at the Disability Sport England National Championships came from Kelly team mate and Paralympic finalist David Hill who also swam his way to securing five gold medals and set 4 new personal best times.
