North Okes U12s 38 Crediton U12s 7 North Okes gave another fine display of free flowing rugby, in attrocious conditions. The passing between forwards and backs was excellent. Luke Liversidge varied his options well and tackled furiously for North Okes, which resulted in Crediton turning over lots of ball. Will Cooper cut through the Crediton defence to open the scoring while Billy Searle's ball distribution and timing was superb. Luke Liversidge latched on to one of these passes to grab the second try. The home forwards out rucked, mauled and scrummaged Crediton all morning and Callum Pillavent crashed over for two tries. Josh Punchard scored the try of the day finishing off a fine passing move by Luke Simmons and Connor Vincent while forwards John Aylen, Zac Middleton and Callum Barber drove Ike Francis over for a final try. Okehampton U10s 35 Crediton U10s 20 DESPITE the freezing cold and driving rain it did not deter the boys! Crediton were short of players so Samuel Jones and Robbie Bell from Okehampton kindly volunteered to play for the opposition. Crediton scored an early try and put a huge amount of effort into the game, which was split into three thirds. Okehampton were the final victors though. Some fantastic tackling by Brandon Horn and Rowan Pillivant had a great game, scoring four of the seven tries. Other scorers for Oke: Reece Peacock, Brandon and Callum. Okehampton U9s 65 Crediton U9s 25 Okehampton were on top form again this week winning their match against Crediton at home in the most appalling weather conditions of the season so far. Crediton started well scoring four tries in the first quarter. Okehampton then dominated the game with some spectacular tackles and running most noticeably from Okehampton's Owen Winston and Ross Davidson. George Jeffery and Matthew Stoner put in accurate passes to help set up the tries. The new coach, Brian Jeffery, reported that he was really proud of the way the boys are playing and working together to win the ball. Joe Mawle again dominated the try scoring by scoring four of Okehampton's 13 tries. Liam Pyle (3), Patrick Beacom (1), with Ross Davidson and Daniel Thorne both scoring two each. William Lovell finished the game in spectacular style scoring his first try of the season. Exeter Saracens U8s Okehampton U8s On Sunday Okehampton U8s travelled away to Exeter Saracens and played four quarters to win by 11 tries to four. The try scorers were Leon Horn (6), Oliver Arden (1), Gregory Daniels (2) and Edward McCarthy (1). Okehampton showed fabulous team spirit and with well supported play.
