THE Tidy Tavi teams will be back on the streets of Tavistock this Saturday, July 7, to tackle litter dropped around the town over the last few weeks.

The campaign, which started last October, is having a satisfactory effect on the general tidiness of the town centre. It is hoped, however, that sufficient volunteers will take part this time to allow the yellow-clad teams to venture further afield.

Tidy Tavi group member Steve Hipsey said: 'Why not join us and make a difference in your community? There's no formal membership procedure, just come along to the Wharf at 10am.

'It's a satisfying and sociable way to spend a couple of hours out in the fresh air. We'll supply you with a litter-picker, bag and tabard. See you there!'
