IT was plain to see from the outset that the wind was going to play a big part and Thistles found themselves pinned back in their own half for most of the first period.

Thankfully good defending from Henry Dandy and Tom Poole, and good goalkeeping from Lee Horwood kept Thistles in the game, limiting the score to just 1-0 at half time.

The second half gave SB Frankfort the disadvantage from the wind, and Thistles pushed hard to drive home the advantage, and were rewarded with a good goal from Josh Langsford. But the joy was short lived as SB Frankfort scored again to take the lead.

However SB Frankfort were struggling to cope with the combined pressure of the wind and Thistles attacks, and having been awarded a penalty, Morgan Warnett equalised for Thistles from the spot, before a second goal for Langsford gave Thistles the lead.

SB Frankfort never gave up and, with two minutes left to play, they levelled the match from a well taken freekick.

Tavistock were not to be denied as a corner, in the dying embers of the game, was met by the head of Johnnie Maddock to secure victory for Thistles.
