JOB seekers can apply for West Devon Borough Council posts online from now on.
The council is one of the first in the county to provide the new website service.
Applicants can complete their applications on-line or can download the job information from the council's website at http://www.westdevon.gov.uk">www.westdevon.gov.uk
Already the Council has trialled the new method and received 18 applications for a job - nine on paper and nine on-line.
Cllr Dennis Bater, who represents E-government on the Council, said he was pleased with the latest development.
He said: 'The web opens the council up to a far wider range of applicants which can only be good for West Devon as a whole.'
