ANYONE who remembers attending a Glen Miller concert at Tavistock Town Hall in May 1994, will also remember what an absolutely brilliant event it was.
The only complaints received were: ?We wanted to get up and dance, but there wasn?t any room?.
If you were one of those who complained, why not return to the town hall on Saturday February 22 for a 40?s Dance and this time bring your friends.
Once again A J?s Big Band will take the stage, accompanied by ?female vocalist and Exeter Jive Club? ? although on this occasion for a 40s dance.
The licensed bar will be available and tickets at £12.50 will include soup kitchen ? Grub Up 40s style. Doors open at 7.30pm for a 8pm start through to 11.30m.
There will be a competition to find the best jiving couple and the best dressed couple (40s style). You could be one of the lucky ones to win a tin of corned beef ? or a bottle of champagne.
