A YOUNG Mount House pupil will be the envy of youngsters throughout the country this Easter, as he steps out onto the turf at Old Trafford for the start of England?s next world cup qualifying match against Northern Ireland. Jamie Renwick, aged seven, has been chosen to be a flag bearer at the big match, which takes place on Easter Saturday. Jamie?s mum Kate said her son was ?absolutely thrilled? to be chosen. ?He took it in his stride at bit to start with, but now it?s sunk in he?s really thrilled, although he?s more excited to see whether David Beckham is playing,? she said. Young Jamie will enter the stadium via the directors? entrance to the South stand tunnel where he will be given his new Umbro football kit. He will be brought onto the pitch and stay on the pitch during the national anthem ? after the match he gets to meet the England players ? hopefully overjoyed after an emphatic win! A keen soccer player, Jamie?s name was pulled out of a hat in a special draw to choose the lucky flagbearers at the match. He will be travelling up to Manchester from his home near Woolwell for match, along with his mum and dad, plus a couple of lucky friends.
