TAVISTOCK sponsored karting champion James Clarkson is back on the road and off to a flying start in the new racing season.
At the year?s first national status meeting in Yeovil James emerged in pole position for the 15-lap final, despite his engine blowing up in practice.
Racing on a borrowed engine for the rest of the Super One Shakedown tournament he notched up a highly creditable third out of 200 entrants.
Sponsored by local company Tavy Signs, James is now looking for additional backing to expand his racing programme ? not least because his kart is still lacking an engine!
