AT the Plume of Feathers on Friday the Jail Ale Darts League finals night took place.
There was good support from the teams and a lovely buffet laid on by Keith and Sarah, the pubs owners. Mark Shackleton presented the trophies and this was the last sponsorship from the Dartmoor Breweries.
Ralph Millard, on behalf of the league, said: 'The JADL thank them for their support over our first two seasons as they were instumental in getting our league up and running. Next season the league have Tinhay Building Supplies as its new sponsors and that will be the new name of the league. We all look forward to their support.'
There was a great evening of darts with the semis and finals of the singles and pairs proving to be as good as expected.
The season's honours were as follows: League winners, Leaping Salmon A, runners-up Union Inn; Knockout cup Leaping Salmon A, r/u Burrator A; singles A Greenaway (Royal British Legion) r/u I Dyer (Leaping Salmon A); pairs C Anderson / I Dyer (Leaping Salmon A), r/u M Wickett /A Greenaway (Royal British Legion); most league wins I Dyer, G Willcocks (Leaping Salmon A) A Greenaway, 24 each; highest shot-out, Jason Webber (Union Inn) 146; most 180s, A Greenaway/I Rawlinson, 5 each.
The league\s annual meeting will be held at the Burrator Inn on Monday, July 11, 7.30pm start. Any new team wishing to join the league please be represented at the meeting.
