IT HAS been a busy week for members of Yelverton Bowling Club. On Tuesday the ladies played in Top Club at Unity Park.
It was a closely fought match with Yelverton winning on two rinks and losing on three, by two shots on each rink. Overall they won by four shots, but it is rinks that count.
On Wednesday four ladies played in the County Fours against Civil Service, but unfortunately lost. In the evening the men lost against Devonport Park in the County Trophy.
Friday saw the ladies in a friendly away match against Bere Alston which they lost, and in the evening the men played an away game in the Evening League against Ivybridge which they lost by three shots.
On Saturday there was a friendly home game against Kingsbridge Town which Yelverton won handsomely.
Sunday saw 16 players make the journey to Camborne. This was a new venue for a friendly mixed match which was keenly fought. Unfortunately Yelverton lost by ten shots but an enjoyable day was had by all.
