TAVISTOCK Swimming Club recently took part in the 2001 Devonport Royal Club championships held at Central Park pool, Plymouth. In front of a huge crowd, the men's inter-club 4x50m freestyle relay team event for the Mount Wise trophy saw the Tavistock team of Peter Freedman, James Windemer, Ian Pownall and Richard Freedman compete to win a well earned bronze medal.
Result as follows: 1, Port of Plymouth SC; 2, Dinnaton SC; 3, Tavistock SC.
