THERE?s an opportunity to win some delicious prizes at a special bingo evening being held in Lewdown later this month, which will raise money for a village pre-school group. The committee members of Lew Trenchard Pre School have been enthusiastically playing bingo for some time, reflecting a nationwide revival in the game?s popularity. Committee secretary Becky Jones said: ?It?s not the big money games that we are into but the family orientated village bingo, where you can win anything from a tin of chocolate biscuits to a complete Sunday roast. ?It?s really good fun, with whole families coming for an evening out and lots of giggling when the tension builds.? To satisfy the bingo demand and raise vital funds for the group, the committee has organised a special Easter-themed bingo night, with prizes including meat, poultry ? and Easter eggs. Karen Crease, pre school vice treasurer, said: ?I don?t know if it was beginner?s luck but last time I won so much I had to get a lift home. ?This time I would really like to encourage more chocolate lovers to come, as there are only so many Easter eggs one person can eat!? The event takes place on Friday March 31 at Lewdown Victory Hall ? eyes down at 8pm.
