Okehampton Men?s 1st 3 Plymouth University 1 OKEHAMPTON, determined to build on last week?s win, took the game to Plymouth and created good chances. Simon Garland shot wide and Mark Parsons was denied by an athletic save. Okehampton broke the deadlock when Tom Forrester?s solo run and shot crept in. They then missed two great chances ? Richard Jones hit the side netting and Parsons shot straight at the keeper. University scored from a short corner to draw level, but Parsons was found by a wonderful aerial pass by Jones and converted to give Okehampton the lead again. Tom Forrester had two efforts saved before the half came to an end. Plymouth came out hoping to equalise, but failed to test Andrew Harvey in goal. The defence had a solid game, and were supported well by Mike Reynolds, Tim Morgan and Jeff Stevens. Okehampton killed when good passing from Reynolds, Stevens and Parsons found Garland, who tapped in from close range. Plymouth tried to mount a comeback, but Okehampton held on and could have grabbed a fourth, Cross failing to beat the keeper.
