OWEN Drage, from Tavistock College, recently received a bronze medal at the National Junior Mathematics Olympiad. Owen, who was just one of 1,200 out of an original 240,000 entrants, was invited to compete after gaining almost full marks in the challenge round. At the Olympiad the student faced tough mathematical problems which he tackled with both insight and determination. After competing, Owen was awarded a distinction and bronze medal for his excellent achievement, of which only the top 300 young mathematicians received.
