VISITORS to the West Devon area will all be welcomed to local church services.

These include on Saturday (Christmas Eve) Hittesleigh Church, a crib service at 4pm led by a lay worship leader; Throwleigh Church, 4pm, a carol service led by Paul Seaton-Burn; St Mary's Church, South Zeal, carol singing from 6pm, conducted by Jill Hobbs. Organised by the carnival committee the evening will also include mulled wine and mince-pies; Drewsteignton Church a Christian communion at 10pm, conducted by Paul Seaton-Burn; St Mary's Church, Belstone, 9.30pm, midnight mass; St Andrew's Church, South Tawton, midnight communion service at 11.30pm by Noël Walter.

On Sunday, (Christmas Day), there is no service in Belstone, but villagers are invited to Sticklepath to join others at a family communion service at 10.30am; at Gidleigh Church there will be an 8am holy communion with carols conducted by Paul Seaton-Burn; Drewsteignton Church 11am family communion conducted by Noël Walter. There will be a service in the Methodist Church, South Zeal conducted by Mr A Stead at 10am. Sticklepath Community Church will be holding a service at Bow on Christmas Day at 11am.
