AT LEAST four outbuildings were attacked overnight on December 1/2 in Down Road, Tavistock.

Attempts were made to force entry into sheds and outbuildings. Damage was caused in all cases but no actual property was stolen.

Police have said that the would-be thieves had evidently walked around the properties in question, most of which were out of sight of the main road and spent some time doing so.

Good quality locks and doors proved too much for them on this occasion but police have warned that they may return better equipped.
