AN 18-YEAR-OLD local man suffered serious internal injuries in a single vehicle accident in Callington last Sunday.
The accident happened at about 12.20pm outside the Rustlings, South Hill Road. A Citroen Xsara left the road on its offside and collided with a tree.
Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene and the driver and sole occupant was taken to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance, where he was said to be in a critical condition at the time of going to press.
The road was closed for approximately nine hours following the accident. Any witnesses are asked to contact Motor Patrol Constable Andy Cloke at Bodmin Traffic Centre on 08452 777444.
