I WOULD be grateful if I could clarify a point made in a letter in the Times last week from Mr G Hall, of South Zeal, which implied that West Devon Borough Council had made a decision on GM crops.
Whilst the council has discussed the issue, no decision has yet been made.
In fact, the authority will meet informally next month to discuss the matter and is inviting relevant organisations knowledgeable in the subject to appraise them of the latest information.
The council has decided to take this step so that members can make an informed decision.
