PATIENTS in West Devon in need of eye treatment will now be directed to Derriford Hospital after the closure of the Royal Eye Infirmary off Mutley Plain in Plymouth.
The Infirmary, which dates back to 1901 will be replaced by a £5 million state-of-the art ophthalmology facilities at Derriford Hospital.
The move will involve relocating nearly 100 staff.
