ATROCIOUS weather forced Hatherleigh Silver Band?s cider and pasty evening indoors to the Hatherleigh Market Buildings. Originally planned for the Square, the event on Saturday September 2 saw an appreciative crowd tuck into the pasties and slurp the cider while enjoying the concert programme. The band got used to the acoustics of the building, and training band members played together with the senior band. The pasties and cider were sponsored by Lloyds TSB and NFU Mutual, Halwill Junction, respectively. Cider was supplied by the Winkleigh Cider Company.
