TAVISTOCK traders are being asked to pass on their business skills in a scheme designed to provide young people with better job prospects.
The Prince's Trust, which provides start-up loans and bursaries as well as advice and support, is desperately seeking volunteer business mentors for its activities in the area.
The Trust's support manager, Mark Thompson, said: 'We focus our support on young people who are unemployed, those in or leaving care, offenders, ex-offenders and people who have not done well at school.
'We urgently need business mentors with about half a day per month to spare.
'Business mentors give free advice to young entrepreneurs, using their expertise to steer them in the right direction.'
