CHRISTIANS from across Tavistock and the surrounding area will gather to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Monday evening.

There will be inspirational music and singing with a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary songs plus prayers for the town and community. 

The 'Risen' event in Tavistock Town Hall is being run by Tavistock Area Christians Together (TACT) which represents the united body of churches and Christians in the Tavistock area.

David Palmer, chairman of TACT, said: 'We welcome you all to celebrate the good news of Easter with a time of worship and sharing with participants across the generations and the churches of Tavistock — a chance to discover the real meaning of Easter.'

Taking place from 7.30pm to 9pm, there is no need to book.

Admission is free and everyone is assured of a warm welcome.
