SHEBBEAR College has completed another round of enhancements as part of a £1 million improvement plan. The college's extensive plan was unveiled a year ago, and the money had been put away for it, but the latest enhancements have been carried out without the need to touch the cash, a school spokesperson said. The complete works will take three to four years, and a new sixth form centre has just been built and work started on an upgraded library. The old library will then be transformed into a new staff room. State-of-the-art science laboratories have been installed and the boys' boarding house has been upgraded, with plans to do the same to the girls' facilities next. It it also hoped to have a new roof for the sports hall and a refectory area. Work has also started on a multi-purpose, all weather play and sports area for junior and kindergarten pupils, and every class now boasts interactive white boards.
