IT was with some dismay that I glanced upon a picture of a Tavistock Air Training Corps presentation recently, under the 'those were the days' heading.

As an avid reader, who doesn't turn 40 until later this year, I was a little shocked that a photo in which I appear is being used in such a context given the rich historical nature of our ancient stannary town.

I immediately noted my objection on a popular social networking site, stating my intent to complain vociverously, only to be met with the response that 'only old people write to the Tavy Times'!

(Incidentally, if you publish this I will rally around to make a donation to the proper 'old folks' Christmas dinner).
