I AM writing in reply to the letter by Grant and Gail Reed (October 20) who said how disappointed they were with Goose Fair and that they would not care if it went. This is the exact reason why there are no other attractions in Tavistock with many people complaining so much. Goose Fair only comes once a year. Many traders get on their pedestal and complain about parking and losing trade, yet while down at the fair I observed that many shops were closed ? it is obvious that you will not make profit if you close! There were attractions in the pannier market that brought people into the town but then they could not shop. Many of our so called friendly traders won?t be happy until they have run Goose Fair out of town, the only attraction that we have. This is appalling ? if you haven?t already guessed, I support Goose Fair 100%! Emma Lewis Inswell Court Tavistock
