REGARDING the letter last week praising the gift for Cornwall from the EU.
Once more I knew how Alice felt in the looking glass. You would think I should be certified if I told you that I had joined a cricket club 30-years ago, paying a joining fee of £1000 a year, the club then gave me £10 back to spend on anything, as long as they agreed first.
The club then started to interfere in all the facets of my life, making rules and regulations behind closed doors by people I didn't know, didn't vote for and couldn't get rid of.
When I asked where the £990 was spent, they could only produce evidence for £900, the next had disappeared. When the auditor started to probe he or she was dismissed.
I then realised it wasn't a cricket club after all.
Because of the stupidity of Brown and Blair, Cameron and Clegg, we are now paying £20-billion nett and rising every year.
This is money — money we haven't got, so we have to borrow it. Is this madness or what?
