I AM writing in reference to the campaign to have Tavistock war memorial moved from its position in the car park.
I have lost a few friends in combat over the years and I am glad that their memories are not commemorated on the memorial in Tavistock.
Who would like their loved ones commemorated in a memorial stuck between a car park and a public toilet?
Soon there will be a form circulated in the town, asking people for their opinion of the site of the memorial in the original position in the churchyard.
I do hope that this will happen.
