THE?ORGANIST at St Michael de Rupe Church in Brentor, Jennifer Venning, is holding a sponsored hymn request this Saturday as part of the Devon Historic Churches Trust's Ride and Stride day.

Ride and Stride is a national event where people take part in a sponsored walk or cycle between churches in their area to raise money for the Devon Historic Churches Trust.

Mrs Venning has been organist at the Brentor Church for 45 years and can no longer cycle for the event, so for the last few years she has held a sponsored hymn request at the church instead.

Anyone can join in with the hymn request from 11am on Saturday to sing along and enjoy some refreshments.
