THE Dartmoor Border Morris mumming play at Buckland Abbey before Christmas was a resounding success.
The seasonal tale had local hero Sir Francis Drake once more battling against the King of Spain. Other traditional characters included Father Time who introduced Mother Dolly to make room for the performance. A Doctor was also on hand to resurrect the fallen with lots of humour.
The entertainment was rounded off with plenty of morris dancing.
Dartmoor Border will next be dancing out at the Buckland Abbey Wassail on Saturday January 17.
