KELLY College headmaster Mark Steed said he was ?delighted? with the success of the students, who scored a 100% pass rate at A-level, with 58% of youngsters achieving A and B grades.

Of the 45 candidates who sat exams, six achieved straight A grades.

Mr Steed said: ?These results show the significant improvements we made in our academic achievement last year were not a flash in the plan, but are being sustained by our pupils at every level.

?For Kelleians to be achieving about 3B grades at A-level and for a third to be passed at A grade is a huge achievement in a school that does not have a selective intake.?
