ARE you smarter than a ten year old? That's the question the Meadows Makeover team is asking the people of Tavistock for its fundraising event next week.

The team is hosting the 'Are You Smarter Than a Ten Year Old?' event at Taylor's Restaurant on Thursday, February 27 at 7.30pm.

Individuals or teams of two can test their knowledge answering questions created by local primary school children, while enjoying tapas throughout the evening.

The event has limited spaces available, and tickets, at £10, are available from Taylor's.

There will also be a small raffle on the evening, to which Taylor's has donated a meal voucher.

The Meadows Makeover Team is fundraising to purchase new equipment for Tavistock Meadows' play park, and will be holding further events throughout the year.

The play park has recently seen new benches and two new pieces of play equipment installed by the town council, and the Meadows Makeover Team is currently fundraising to reach a target of £12,000 to install a zip wire.

Other events planned include a flower arranging workshop, fashion show, beer festival, and a talent show.
