HOUSING advisers from West Devon Borough Council, West Devon Homes and Westcountry Housing Association will all be joining West Devon Connect outreach surgeries for the month of September.

The surgeries bring together different agencies and organisations to a local venue, taking public services into the borough's more rural communities. The housing advisers can give face to face advice on a range of housing issues that you, or someone you know, are experiencing as tenant, landlord or private home owner.

In these difficult times, with tighter budgets and additional worry, the advisers can help with rent / mortgage; poor housing conditions; landlord or tenant problems; overcrowded accommodation or homelessness; managing tenancy; anti social behaviour; advice to landlords and shared ownership.

Westcountry Housing Association also has a housing support service specifically for older people living in West Devon.

For residents already on the housing register, help will also be available on queries relating to Devon Home Choice, the new choice base letting system for Devon.
