Moor View House, the Lydford country house hotel and restaurant, has won the RAC's Little Gem award, its highest prize for overall service.
It is believed to be one of very few awarded to West Country establishments.
Moor View, originally a Victorian guesthouse, has four bedrooms and has been run for the past ten years by David and Wendy Sharples. It has previously won five diamond awards from both the RAC and the AA motoring organisations.
The RAC's Little Gem award is given for the highest standards at all meals, as well as the quality of the house and hospitality.
Mr and Mrs Sharples will be attending the RAC's awards ceremony in London on November 8.
