FAMILIES in Tavistock are being sought to accommodate German students attending a new language school in the town. Sandra Hayman has just opened the South West Language School in Taylor Square and will be running her first one week course at Easter. She is looking for welcoming people in the town who have a spare room and would like to be a host family. 'Hosting is a wonderful way to learn about another country while you show a student our lifestyle,' she said. 'If your children learn a foreign language at school hosting a student might be a brilliant opportunity for them to increase their interest in modern foreign languages in general or even to improve their German.' The host family will be paid a fee to cover the costs of their guest, who will also enjoy excursions in the area as well as lessons. For more information call 01822 880234.
