THE Children's Hospice South West's shop in Tavistock is appealing for volunteers to assist with a range of duties.
Lesley Alexander, the shop's acting manager, said: 'There are many different roles you can get involved with such as sorting the stock, steaming clothes, dressing the shop, or customer service. All we ask is that you can regularly spare a few hours of your time each week.
'Anyone over the age of fifteen can apply, and full training will be given. Some youngsters volunteer as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award or the government V Award initiative. Young or old, if you're reliable and committed to helping our cause, we'd be thrilled to welcome you to the team.'
Donations of good quality clothes, jewellery, accessories, books, CDs, DVDs, household items, ornaments, toys and games are gratefully accepted at the shop during opening hours (9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday).
If you are able to support Children's Hospice South West by donating a few hours of time each week at the shop at 11 West Street, Tavistock, please contact Lesley Alexander on 01822 614888.
